Already one of SA’s largest manufacturing plants, the SA Medicines Control Council (MCC) approved Cipla Medpro Manufacturing (CMM) is nearing the final stages of a R225 million upgrade to international PIC/S compliance.
Through its close association with Cipla India, experts in pharmaceutical manufacturing to globally accredited standards, the group has been fortunate to access their advice when ensuring the facility is best equipped for optimum compliance, capacities, flexibility and flow.
Being one of the first local manufacturers to attain PIC/S accreditation enables the group to manufacture some of its own products, as well as offer local and multinational pharmaceutical companies world class, high volume manufacturing solutions in line with MCC cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) and PIC/S regulations. CMM is also one of only two facilities in South Africa offering effervescent manufacturing.
